It’s a little bit country, I’m a little bit rock’n’roll
With dependable regularity the IASA conference comes around each June marking another industry year and presenting the opportunity to see how the industry has evolved in the previous twelve months. As an industry we all have a strong digital agenda, the IASA conference will allow us to assess just how far we have progressed along that digital transformation road we have come. A recent survey AdvantageGo commissioned suggests that in many cases not that far. This time we’re off to the home of country music, Nashville Tennessee which for me as a die-hard rocker will be somewhat of a musical challenge preferring as I do more of a ‘kerrang’ than a ‘twang’, that being said I’m determined to get into the spirit of it and have packed the cowboy boots and checked shirt in expectation of the closing party! Several days of intense activity before then so what am I looking forward to this year and what promises to be the stand out attraction in the exhibition hall? I guess I’m biased but the long awaited US launch of AdvantageGo at Booth #445 and particularly the launch of our new and revolutionary digital product offerings ‘Score’ and ‘Aniita’ have to be right up there. Over the past few years we’ve seen and heard a lot of talk and discussion on the impact of InsurTech on commercial insurers and reinsurers but very little tangible progress particularly in the complex commercial, E&S and specialty markets. AdvantageGo’s cloud based, system agnostic microservices enable augmented decision making at the point of underwriting, leveraging curated knowledge from leading data providers distilled to your desktop to deliver powerful and personal insight. Score provides a benchmark risk score for any insurable asset across any line of business. We have normalised and curated data from multiple global providers so customers can rapidly access visual scores on screen in a single view alongside a map of the asset locations. Aniita is our revolutionary digital assistant for commercial insurers and reinsurers. By using a simple text message or indeed your voice using Amazon’s Alexa, Aniita will respond with real-time, relevant and highly accurate information from multiple disparate sources including your current traditional policy admin systems. I am hoping that both of these new products will see a lot of interest from the conference. As well as launching two new digital products we will be participating in the ever popular Vendor Connect Tours which, for the uninitiated is essentially insurance speed dating for conference delegates with software vendors. Always good fun and a great way for anyone at the conference to get a five minute overview from all relevant vendors on any subject in the large list of tours. Not surprisingly we’re participating in ‘Digital Transformation and Emerging Technology’ and in ‘Business Intelligence and Analytics’. Besides the activity in the exhibition hall I’m probably most looking forward to hearing Bear Grylls give his keynote speech. He is a person whom I really admire especially in his work with young people and his role as Chief Scout which resonates with me having been involved with Scouting for many years. I’ve met Bear before and he is a truly inspirational and motivational speaker. I’m also looking forward to getting a flavour of that renowned southern hospitality and especially the end of show party entertainment Joe Nichols who I’m ashamed to say I’ve never heard of but I’m assured by those in the know is fantastic. So if you’re heading to Nashville for IASA please drop by for a chat and we’d be delighted to give you a demo of Score and Aniita or indeed any of our other products. As a proud sponsor of the event this year we have closing party tokens which is probably all the incentive you’ll need to pay us a visit at booth #445 and we very much look forward to seeing you.
